The two Springfield shooting victims who were discovered dead in an apartment on Union Street last Wednesday have been identified by authorities.
Alexander Rodriguez, 19, and Khidhr Moultrie, 40, were the two people police discovered dead inside the residence.
The Hampden District Attorney’s Office claims as much.
Police were called to a report of two bodies in an apartment in the 200 block of Union Street on June 7th, shortly after midnight.
We are informed that when they arrived inside, they found Rodriguez and Moultrie, both of whom seemed to have gunshot wounds.
Gunshots were heard Wednesday morning as police were conducting their investigation close to the crime scene at the intersection of School and High Street.
After a few hours of their inquiry, this occurred.
The investigating officers were the target of automatic gunfire, according to a statement made at the time by Springfield Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood to Western Mass News.
Now, a week later, the Springfield Police Department and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office are both still looking into the double killing.
