Robert and Sandra Denton from Michigan have been identified as the two individuals who lost their lives in the plane crash that occurred in Oconee County on Wednesday. This information was released earlier this morning. The crash, which occurred near Watkinsville, is currently under investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board. A small plane was reportedly approaching Winder-Barrow Airport for a landing, having departed from Leesburg, Florida.
According to the FAA report, the crashed aircraft was identified as a single-engine Cessna 177. According to the FAA’s report, there were two individuals on board.
The crash is being investigated by the NTSB and FAA.
