Ian Coates Obituary News: School Caretaker Killed on Magdala road in the Nottingham Attack
The local caretaker has been identified as the third victim of the attack in Nottingham.
According to a statement made online by the L.E.A.D Academy, they were “deeply shocked and saddened” to learn of the passing of Ian Coates, a “beloved and respected” employee.
The executive headteacher of Huntingdon Academy and Warren Academy, Ross Middleton, issued a statement confirming Ian Coates’ passing. He said: “Ian was a much-loved colleague who always went the extra mile for the sake of our pupils and will be deeply missed.
It will take some time for the school community to comprehend this really devastating news. We want to express our sadness and condolences to everyone impacted by the tragic events of yesterday.
The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust’s CEO, Diana Owen, expressed her astonishment and sadness upon learning of the dreadful news.
“Ian was a cherished and well-respected employee at Huntingdon Academy. During this very sad moment, my thoughts are with his family and friends.
