Tamica Epps Car Accident: According to police reports, a fatal accident occurred on Patriot Highway in Spotsylvania, resulting in the death of a woman from Henrico County. Additionally, one person has been hospitalized as a result of the incident.
In a recent update from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, it has been reported that deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Patriot Highway at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday, June 23rd, following a report of a collision involving two vehicles.
According to reports, a 2015 BMW was traveling south on Patriot Highway when it came across a sizeable fallen tree that obstructed all four lanes of travel. According to reports, the driver of the BMW attempted to execute a U-turn maneuver.
A 2008 Mercury SUV traveling north collided with a tree after the BMW it was turning collided with it, causing the tree to be launched into the air and strike the passenger side of the BMW. According to reports, the passenger of a BMW, identified as 42-year-old Tamica Epps from Henrico, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
According to police, the driver of the Mercury involved in the crash did not see the tree or BMW due to the dark and rainy conditions at the time of the incident. The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash.
