Local media have released the name of the man who died in a car accident yesterday afternoon in mid-Kerry.
Yesterday afternoon, shortly after one o’clock, Danny Cahill was murdered when the vehicle he was driving collided with another vehicle in Kilbonnane, Beaufort.
He served as captain of the 1988 All-Ireland champion Kerry minor football team.
Yesterday evening, the other car’s driver, a male in his late teens, was admitted to University Hospital Kerry in severe condition.
Garda continue to want any potential witnesses to come forward.
