Jennifer Magnano, a mother of three from Connecticut, tried to leave for California in April 2007 after years of abuse from her violent husband, Scott. He used legal threats to make her come back, and then killed her in front of their children.
In August 2007, Scott Magnano shot and killed his 42-year-old wife at their home in Terryville. He then ran away and turned the gun on himself. He was found dead in his car, which was parked a few blocks away on an empty lot.
