On Monday, April 17, 2023, after 5 p.m., a security escort was murdered during a burglary at a gas station in Purok 2, Barangay San Pascual, Ubay, Bohol.
The victim was identified as Marlowie Jayoma Amparado, age 29.
The suspects were identified as Florencio Yangson Pelonia, 54, married, security guard and a resident of P-3, Lumbog, Guindulman, Bohol (driver-gunman); Rogelio Tama Edisa Jr, , 27, and a resident of Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte and presently residing at Barangay Cabulihan Zamora Bilar Bohol (backrider-gunman); and Jerry Ligtas Ofamin, 37, single with live-in partner and a resident of Brgy. Bato, Guindulman, Bohol (informant-look-out).
They were apprehended at approximately 5:13 p.m. on 19 April 2023 in Purok, Barangay Guinacot, Guildulman, Bohol.
PNP personnel from Ubay Police Station led by Major Romar Labasbas, BPPO Provincial Intelligence Unit headed by Colonel Joemar Sabellano, and Guildulman Police launched the hot pursuit operation. Station commanded by Jurell Darunday after eyewitnesses positively identified them
