This homicide victim has been identified as Zachery Freeman, age 29. The Medical Examiner certified that the manner and cause of death was assassination by gunshot. The family of Freeman has been informed of his passing, and they have provided the photograph attached for public release.
On Sunday evening, April 23, 2023, Portland Police Homicide Detectives had identified the suspect and issued an arrest warrant for him.
On Monday, April 24, 2023, the suspect in this homicide was killed in Clackamas County during an officer-involved gunshot.
