Aurora Car Accident: Teen girl killed, Ten injured in crash involving stolen vehicle in Aurora.
Aurora Police have now confirmed a 12-year-old girl died and ten others were injured in a crash involving a stolen vehicle Saturday night.
According to the Aurora Police Department (APD), the two-car collision occurred near East Kent Drive and South Buckley Road about 7:16 p.m.
Including a 12-year-old girl who passed away from her injuries, 11 persons, according to the police, were taken to the hospital.
Investigators think a Dodge Journey that had been reported stolen earlier Saturday afternoon was being sped up north on South Buckley by a 15-year-old, according to police.
When the Dodge hit the Toyota Tacoma’s passenger side, it was making a left turn onto East Kent from South Buckley, according to the police.
A 31-year-old guy, a 29-year-old lady, a 3-year-old kid, and a 6-month-old girl were the other two passengers in the Toyota. They were all brought to the hospital. The two adults’ injuries were potentially fatal.
Police said there were eight young people inside the Dodge.
A 15-year-old driver is in custody, police said.
Investigations are ongoing.
