Brian Fraser Obituary News: Chapter president of the Michigan Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta at MSU identified among 3 killed in MSU shooting.
Wednesday, police were still looking for a reason for the shooting that killed three students and hurt five others. The Michigan State University community was still dealing with the aftermath of the shooting.
Three students, Alexandria Verner of Clawson, Brian Fraser of Grosse Pointe, and Arielle Anderson, also from Grosse Pointe, were killed in a shooting at MSU on Monday night. Verner was from Clawson, Fraser was from Grosse Pointe, and Anderson was also from Grosse Pointe. Five other students were seriously hurt and are still getting care.
As of early Wednesday morning, it was still unclear why the suspect, a 43-year-old man named Anthony Dwayne McRae who didn’t seem to have any ties to MSU, attacked the campus of the school before killing himself.
On Tuesday, MSU police said that a note was found on the suspect and that it was being looked into. It wasn’t clear at first what the note said, though.
Brian Fraser was a 20-year-old who graduated from Grosse Pointe South. Brian was a sophomore studying business. His sister says they do not want him remembered as a victim but the light that he was.
Alexandria Verner a 20-year-old who graduated from Clawson. Alex was a junior studying forensic science. She was and is incredibly loved by everyone. She was a tremendous student, athlete, leader and exemplified kindness every day of her life!
Arielle Diamond Anderson a 19-year-old who attended Grosse Pointe North High School before going to MSU. Her family said she was known for her compassion and always helping others.
