Following a collision in Jupiter, a 73-year-old woman is dead and the 72-year-old driver is in serious condition.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), the collision happened on Wednesday at around 4:56 p.m. at the junction of Indiantown Road and 125th Ave.
According to the accident report, Judy Kreidler, 73, and Daniel Kreidler, 72, were traveling in a Toyota Tacoma westbound down Indiantown Road. A Hyundai Sonata being driven by a 16-year-old was traveling north on 125th Avenue at the same moment.
The Hyundai had a red flashing light and a stop sign, while Kreidler’s path had a flashing yellow light, according to the investigators. The 16-year-old driver moved into the intersection by moving ahead.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Hyundai’s driver failed to notice Kreidler’s Toyota and veered into the westbound lanes, where the two cars crashed.
Daniel and Judy Kreidler, according to the sheriff’s office, were taken urgently to the hospital. Sadly, medical personnel declared Judy deceased, and Daniel’s condition is still severe. The Hyundai’s driver and an 8-year-old passenger both suffered minor wounds.
