Ande Blackthunder and Danny Garcia Obituary News: Authorities identify two killed in a mass shooting at a weekend house party in Yuma, Arizona.
At a weekend house party in Yuma, Arizona, more than 30 rounds were fired, according to investigators, leaving two young men dead and five teens injured.
Ande Blackthunder, 20, and Danny Garcia, 19, were the two victims killed at the party Saturday night at a house in a southeast Yuma area, Yuma Police Chief Thomas Garrity announced at a news conference on Monday.
According to Garrity, a number of weapons were found at the site, and detectives are still trying to figure out who fired the fatal shots. He urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to get in touch with the police.
According to authorities, a $1,000 reward is being offered for information that results in the identification and capture of the guilty parties.
When an incident broke out at the party, which had swelled from a small gathering to more than 100 after word of the party was shared on social media, shooting broke out at 10:54 p.m. on Saturday, according to Garrity.
He claimed that four law enforcement officers who weren’t on duty but were nearby at the time of the shooting heard shots being fired, ran to the site, and started giving first aid to the wounded while waiting for the on-duty officers to arrive.
Garcia, one of the severely hurt victims, was reportedly driven to a hospital by a private automobile before the police showed up, according to him. Shortly after being transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center, the adolescent was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
Blackthunder was discovered by police at the scene with a gunshot wound, and the Yuma Fire Department transported him to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, according to authorities.
According to Garrity, five additional youngsters with ages ranging from 15 to 19 received injuries. Three people were treated and released on Sunday morning, while two people remained in the hospital Monday afternoon in stable condition.
According to the chief, a relative threw the party that led to an earlier noise complaint that cops did not attend to, and the owner of the house where the shooting took place was out of town.
