Henry Johnson Obituary News: Victim identified in fatal shooting at Gentilly bus stop murder near Walmart.
A suspect has been detained, the NOPD reported during a press conference on Wednesday. The incident involved a fatal gunshot that happened on Tuesday (Feb. 7) at a bus stop outside of a Walmart in Gentilly.
Gregory Woods, a 20-year-old suspect, was named. He was detained and charged with second-degree murder on one count. Woods was reportedly hauled into custody by NOPD without a hitch.
On February 7, Woods is charged with murdering a man at a bus stop in the 4300 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Around 11:25 p.m., police responded to a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult male who had been shot and was not breathing at a bus stop.
Henry Johnson, 22, who was the victim, was pronounced dead at the site.
