Markeshia Stone Death – Cause of Death: Teen girl involved in shooting death of relative in East Baton Rouge.
According to reports, two teens admitted to taking part in a fatal shooting that took place late on October 12, Wednesday.
Deputies were called to a fatal shooting incident at The Highland Club Apartment Homes, which is near Highland Road and Jefferson Highway at around 11 p.m., the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim of the shooting incident was identified as 33-year-old Markeshia Stone.
In close proximity to the house, deputies caught the suspect, a 16-year-old boy. On allegations of second-degree murder and juvenile in possession of a firearm, he was reportedly put into the juvenile detention facility.
The alleged shooter reportedly acknowledged his involvement and told homicide detectives that a 16-year-old girl, who is a relative of the victim, asked him for help killing the victim, according to the sheriff’s office. According to the sheriff’s office, when the girl was taken into custody by detectives, she admitted to having had a role in the victim’s murder.
According to officials, she will be charged with principle to second-degree murder and booked into the juvenile detention facility.
