Nevins Zoch and Tommy Koenigs Car Accident: One dead, another in critical condition following Taycheedah Township crash.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office were called to an accident on Golf Course Drive, in the Township of Taycheedah, east of Taft Road, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 3:25 a.m. According to reports, the crash happened east of Taft Road.
A 16-year-old Eldorado resident who was riding in the front passenger seat at the time of the collision was found dead by the responding police. The 16-year-old driver, who was also from the Mount Cavalry area, was transported by helicopter to the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center to receive medical attention for his wounds.
Paramedics brought a teenager from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, who was in the back seat and had injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening to SSM Health – St. Agnes. According to the early investigation into the collision involving just one car, the car was moving very quickly west on Golf Course Drive. The car spun around after the driver lost control, hit a tree, and slid off the road onto the north shoulder.
The authorities think that alcohol usage and driving too fast both contributed to the disaster.
